Fall 2021 NewsletterNews

The 3rd Quarter of most construction calendars marks the peak development period each year and this trend was no different in 2021.  For the year 2021, the 3rd Quarter will continue to set the pace to surpass what permits were approved in the previous year’s total and has already surpassed the totals for 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016; and the 4th quarter numbers have not even been tallied at this point.  Site Development Plans have already surpassed what was approved in the previous year and matched what was approved in the previous quarter.  Permit types have continued to increase in each category to small contractor projects, single-family residential, multi-family residential, commercial, and large scale industrial projects.  Market demand for single family lots has kept interest rates at a continued historic low.  Several more subdivision proposals are in the review process and will look to begin construction before the year ends. Development numbers continue to increase, and 2021 will certainly be projecting to be the busiest construction year of the last several years.
