Fall 2019 NewsletterNews

BikeWalkBG is the local advisory, advocacy, and educational initiative for promoting bicycling and walking. BikeWalkBG oversees the bicycle-pedestrian planning process, which includes everything from dreaming up new trails, responding to greenway complaints, planning safety and educational events, and coordinating with others to encourage and promote biking and walking, be it for transportation or leisure. Over the past year, BikeWalkBG has hosted several community bike rides to explore different parts of our community by bike. These rides typically range from five to nine miles, are free, and open to all ages and skill levels. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and gain a bit of confidence to ride your bike.

Join us on Saturday, November 2nd at Circus Square Park. Registration (it’s free) starts at 9 AM; roll out at 9:30 AM. Follow along on Facebook for more information and event updates.

Interested in getting involved in bike-ped matters? Attend the next Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) meeting on December 9th at 4:00 PM. The BPAC meets the second Monday of every even-numbered month at 4:00 PM.
