The first few months of 2019 have been busy. Though our re-zonings are lower than previous year-to-date numbers, construction and code enforcement are steadily rising. With warmer weather comes an uptick in construction – both road construction and for subdivisions. Our construction coordinators are out in the field daily, monitoring subdivision standards and regulations. This past fall, we brought on a new staff member directly responsible for code enforcement and code compliance, duties we unfortunately haven’t been faithfully fulfilling in the recent past. Since then, the code enforcement duties have grown and we’ve been able to consistently provide better services for the community.
